Division of Hematology and Oncology
The Hematology and Oncology Division offers dedicated and comprehensive care to Taipei’s citizens who have cancer or blood disease. We have experienced medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists and pathologists who work together to treat blood diseases and a wide spectrum of solid tumor cancers, such as breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer etc.
Our goals - “HOPE” stands for H (hematology), O (oncology), P (palliative medicine), and E (education). For “H”, we hope to become a training center for hematology and develop stem cell treatment modalities. For “O”, our center is already a training center for oncologists. We are working with TCOG (Taiwan cooperation oncology Group) on local clinical trials. We also offer innovative and advanced therapies for refractory diseases. We wish to incorporate traditional medicine into cancer treatment in the future. For “P”, we have hospice programs and ward for terminally ill patients. For “E”, in order to provide pain control palliative medicine, we have comprehensive training programs for interns residents, fellows, nurses and other personnel. We also offer educational programs for the citizens, patients and their families. Finally, we cooperate with universities to promote new developments in cancer research, treatment and prevention.
