Division of Infectious Diseases

 The five Division of Infectious Diseases from previous different hospitals (Zhongxing Branch, Renai Branch, Heping Fuyou Branch, Zhongxiao Branch and Yangming Branch) have merged together and become the “Division of Infectious Diseases” of Taipei City Hospital, which was formally opened on January 1, 2005, with the hope of providing all the citizens with high quality medical services.

Services:

1. Management of out-patients and in-patients.
2. Offer opinions about infectious diseases to other departments or physicians through consultation.
3. Management of fever of all origins.
4. Diagnosis and treatment of documented bacterial infections, viral infections, fungal infections and parasitic infestations.
5. Diagnosis and treatment of sexual transmitted diseases including HIV infection and related opportunistic infections.
6. Establishment and enforcement of the antibiotic control policy.
7. Report of statutory communicable diseases.
8. Establishment and excution of the strategies to control nosocomial infections.
9. The offering of education program in infectious diseases to interns, resident doctors and other paramedicals.
10. Research on infectious diseases.
